Watch Bob Dancer, a math wiz with a PHD in economics find a flaw in the video poker machines. You’ll see a 70 year old named Lem Banker who has never held a real job but still maintains the life of a king capitalizing on his sports betting expertise.
Then there’s Adam Schoenfeld who is trying to make it as a professional poker player after working in the Internet business. You will meet Barry Meadow, a one-time aspiring stand-up comedian who went from Wall Street to the Horse Racing tracks. You will get a look at Steve Sax, a backgammon player who has sacrificed everything he has for the game. Beau Parker; a dice coach who swears he can teach people how to manipulate the dice when playing craps. Finally you’ll meet Harvey, a former compulsive gambler. He’ll tell his story about how he went from losing everything he has to regaining control of his life.
These people have no "real" jobs except playing their game of choice. Professional gamblers have all come up with different betting strategies that may enable them to beat the odds of the game they are playing. Professional gamblers live and die by the chance they take when they make their wagers. Some are lucky and can build an elaborate lifestyle. Others lose everything they have.
